The Barnett Training System's weight lifting routines were developed by MET-Rx award winning fitness trainer, and Powerlifting Champion Robert Barnett. We sell weight training eBooks and powerlifting training eBooks which include a free year of online fitness coaching. We also sell Beachbody products, such as P90X and P90X2. Robert Barnett is an independent Beachbody Coach and will coach you for free with these products.

Exercise Induced Adaptation

You can build a great body and the most important training principle is undoubtedly adaptation. It is the unique ability of the human body to adapt or adjust its functional capacity to meet desired needs. This is the root of all training and conditioning. The desire to obtain adaptation is the driving force behind our weight training eBooks, and together with our bundled fitness coaching, we guarantee your progress.

The Muscular System and Adaptation

If you change your exercise routines, exercises, splits, set, reps, tempo, and rest interval, your body will change to meet the new demands. Changing only one of these elements will cause an adaptation response, but changing more elements is optimal. One critical item facilitates progression: a periodization schedule that incorporates organized progress. Our weight training eBooks provide customized periodization schedules, and our P90X and P90X2 Coaching insures muscle confusion so you never plaeau.

Cardiovascular System Adaptation

If you incorporate variety in your cardiovascular program, use a periodization schedule, and record and manage your progress your body will adapt. Cardiovascular variety might include jogging intervals, martial arts training, and several forms of yoga.

Nutrition and Set Points

If you eat the same foods and approximately the same calories over a period of time, your body will adapt and establish set points. Your body will reduce its fat point only if you change your eating habits over a period of time. It is difficult to reset your fat point, however, it can be done!
